The Mirage was opened in 1989 and so far it is the most expensive casino-hotel built. This expansive hotel is located between Treasure Island and Caesars Palace in the north part of the strip. The rooms are nice and the pool area is large and open year round. The Mirage houses Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, which is a family friendly attraction where everyone can see dolphins and exotic animals for about $15 a person. Room rates have been steadily dropping here the last few years and there are many deals to be found.

The casino at the Mirage is great. It is one of my favorite places to gamble, but table limits can get high on weekend nights. It has most things you need for gambling, but the poker room gets very little action, but if you are interested in sit & go tournaments though, the Mirage is one of the better spots.
